This is the Harlequins Home Page.
Harlequins is an amateur-dramatics group based in Newmarket (that's in England for any surfers). We meet at the Turner Hall on Sunday evenings from 18:00 to 20:00. In 1999 we did a pantomime, "Old King Cole" and a "Viennese Evening" featuring the music of Johann Strauss (pictures of both below). We were peparing a pantomime, "Dick Whittington", for February 2000, but couldn't get enough people together to do it. The first few pages of the script are here: DW script. Currently, the Harlequins are resting - we haven't enough people to do anything. Which is sad...
Stage Struck Individuals Wanted:
We need YOU to join us. Contact me, Sophie Wilson, on sophie.wilson@acm.org or by phone/fax on 01223 813063. Or contact Joan Conway-Jarrett, our Director, on 01638 507460.
You can join to act, sing, dance, paint, sew, bake, push, pull... You can be from 5 to 105. You must like being on stage, and like being on stage with children (or, if in the younger set, tolerate being on stage with daft adults). Come along and give a zing to the end of your weekend.
Sophie, Harlequins Publicity Officer
